Finally got a P64!
Wow! Great score. It pays to watch the auctions. I've also wondered if TN Guns had a retail outlet.

My 1973 P64
I agree that it's the operator and not the equiptment. But the equiptment does need to be up to a certain level of performance and reliability in order to get the job done right. ;) Shoot the Hondo and send us pics! If I still had mine I would set it on fire too! And yes, this is gettin' silly. Love...

Sad announcement today...
Makarov.com was my first introduction to the 9x18's. Learned a good deal from them, sad to see them go.

I believe Blindog is refering to the Sigma acoustic guitars. Made by Martin, nice affordable boxes.
Hondo? No sir. My first guitar was a Hondo and a Hondo is no P-64. Although they will both give you bloody fingers!

Reminds me more of an old Alvarez acoustic. Built like a tank, loud as hell and only about $200 used. ::)

STAR .380?
Thanks Doyle, I suspected that, since they are rare and the price was cheap. My bro-in-law really wants a STAR 9mm. I don't know why, but I'm trying to talk him into a Czak. That .380 sure was a sleek little number though! Of course, no matter what pistol I look at, I always end up happy that I did ...

STAR .380?
I have seen the STAR pistol in 9mm quite often at gunshows but last week was tempted by a STAR .380 going for $230. Beautiful, slender little gun. Wondering if anyone here has any experience or knowledge of this piece?

My bloody trigger finger
"Maybe I'm a big guy who shouldnt be using such a small gun. " I think you nailed it right there. One of the first things I looked for in a pistol was fit and feel. I have medium size hands and the Czak fits perfectly. I love the little Kel-Tec pocket pistols but they are just to small for...

Shot the P64 today
Maddogrecurve, what's yer ammo? I've had this happen twice with silver bear. I also noticed that silver bear is very dry and feeds into the mag roughly. Compared to brass which slides smoothly into the mag and has never failed to feed for me. I recently shot up the last of my silver bear and will be...

I always figured that the Cal. Makarov and x18 were import stamps. They match the import etching underneath.

For those of you that carry the P-64...
I've decided that when I get my CCW I will be carrying my TRUSTY, OLD 64 with one in the chamber, safety off. That's the way I keep it in the house. My lady knows and understands this. Just pick it up and shoot it! I clean after shooting and load it back up. As for flowerstalkers comments: You dis'n...

brink and weetabix, I can't really argue with your logic. It's partly a timing thing. Here in TN you need to take a safety course and then apply for the permit within a certain amount of time. As my road schedule for this spring/summer is still not set, I can't be sure where I'll be. But it's also a...
